Compliance statement

Websites must comply with the accessibility criteria indicated in the UNE 139803:2012 standard, in addition to satisfying all the priority 2 checkpoints (level AA adequacy) defined in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 specification by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

The Community is committed to providing citizen-friendly web tools that are as accessible as possible and to ensuring universal access to information.

The contents published on this website must be able to be viewed and used regardless of any type of personal circumstance (people with disabilities, functional diversity, the elderly) or limitations arising from the environment or context of use (device, connection speed, environmental conditions). The interface design must be adapted to people and not the other way around. The contents must be able to be presented perfectly by browsers on multiple devices or any other type of assistive tool.

Our accessibility guidelines

  • Compliance with the WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) of the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium), at level AA.
  • Compliance verification of the aforementioned guidelines through the Web Accessibility Test (TAW).
  • Periodic audit of compliance with the standards.

  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 at http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG20 (equivalent to UNE 139803:2012)
  • AA Compliance Level: automatic tools have been used to check the accessibility of the page and errors have been corrected (tools such as TAW, examiner and W3C Validator generate some problems with HTML5 pages with RDFa and metatags).

Non-accessible content

There are some intrinsically non-accessible content throughout this website, such as maps, but in all cases an attempt has been made to provide an accessible alternative:

  • Maps are not accessible. Alternatives have been provided to overcome this problem such as alternative address lists to maps, marking addresses with special labels, etc.
  • Semantic web functionalities have been introduced that generate false errors with some validators.
  • Icons that help the user to better understand the content at a glance, but are not readable.

NOTE: This compliance statement applies to all pages located within the domain https://vericatimplantologia.com excluding pages to which external links and embedded content from other domains take us.

Technical characteristics

The following actions have been taken, inter alia:

  • Language used, content structure and context information are simple and consistent and easily understood by people.
  • Use of (X)HTML code to create standard documents. Content is marked with tags, providing context information and allowing the user to differentiate headings, sections, paragraphs, lists, etc.
  • Content is positioned using CSS cascading style sheets. These standard premises adequately mark and allow the separation of the structure and the presentation of the contents. This procedure ensures compatibility for different browsers and devices, allowing the use of assistive technologies for browsing.
  • A legible font size has been used. Texts have been checked for sufficient contrast with respect to background colours. The font size and colour shades selected can be modified using the tools provided by each browser. You can also use our floating accessibility button to adjust text size, font and colours.
  • Images, except for decorative images, have an alt-text description. Images have mandatory alternative text so that an alternative is offered to those who do not access the graphical content.
  • Functional alternatives for users who have Javascript disabled. Javascript effects, Ajax, etc., do not hide information or block access to those who use browsers that do not support these technologies.
  • Abusive pop-up windows are avoided.
  • Motion graphics and flashes are avoided and, in situations where their use is essential, the necessary functionalities are provided to stop the movement.
  • The use of colour to give meaning to content is avoided.
  • Colour tones are used that have been previously validated in the contrast algorithms between text colour and background colour for WCAG2.
  • Links provide details of the hyperlink destination. Navigation should be simple. The links must be informative and must meet exactly the information users expect.
  • A content management system (WordPress) is used to help maintain the accessibility of content over time.
